In the process of crushing of sugar cane, Bagasse, a fibrous by-product is produced which is used in the boilers to generate steam. We produce power from bagasse, which is used in the manufacturing process as well as sold to the state electricity boards. Further this bagasse based cogeneration plant is eligible for carbon credit compensation under the Kyoto protocol.
